Portway accelerates the decarbonisation of its operations at Portuguese airports

Portway has made the decarbonisation of its fleet of motorised airport equipment one of its key priorities by implementing an investment plan focused on 100% electric vehicles, gradually replacing older, more polluting equipment.

As part of this initiative, 11 Citroën My Ami Cargo vehicles and 2 Citroën Ami passenger vehicles were introduced to support the movement of portway teams across different airports, providing an innovative 100% electric mobility solution.

Initially deployed at Lisbon Airport, these vehicles have since been adapted to meet the day-to-day operational needs of the business through the addition of solar panels, making their use even more environmentally sustainable. The solar panels power the mobile equipment used by ground handling teams, including portable printers and PDAs, as well as the vehicle's warning beacon, three 220V AC power outlets, and two USB ports.

Aligned with the VINCI Group's environmental policies, portway continues to advance its sustainability strategy by investing in simple, practical and environmentally responsible mobility solutions.
